The Coquitlam Amateur Radio Club (Coquitlam Amateur Radio Emergency Services Society/CARESS) is tasked with providing backup communications for the City of Coquitlam in times of emergency. The CARESS ARES Team is a core group of club members who have a particular interest in emergency communications.

    If you….

    - Have an interest in serving the community*…

    - Are an Amateur Radio operator accredited by Industry Canada…

    - Are willing to attend scheduled training events and exercises…

    - Are willing to complete an RCMP Criminal Record Check…

Please contact Ian Procyk (President-CARESS) ve7hhs@rac.ca or Martin Hyde (EC-Coquitlam) va7hyd@rac.ca for more information on this exciting and rewarding aspect of Amateur Radio.

*While the Coquitlam Amateur Radio Club ARES Team is comprised primarily of club members residing in Coquitlam, interested Amateurs from neighboring communities are also encouraged to consider joining the team. Please contact Doug or Martin.
